Three things....
Hiking in the beautiful Wasatch mountains near my home
4 wheeling
Camping

:)
My most favorite thing to do is spend time with my birds. They have such a great beauty and peace about them. I also enjoy reading suspense novels, and I tend to watch way too much television...LOL. I also spend a lot of time in my gardens, and I engage myself in MANY home improvement projects.

Namaste to all!
I love that wand, hope it will come to me, would love to use it
3 Things....reading and learning all I can, drawing and painting, going for long drives on beautiful, sunny days and blasting the music as I ride along.
Happy February everyone!

Due to my Disability, this last year and a bit, I have spent a lot of time at home and on my computer. This has opened up a whole new world for me. Three things that have gotten me through a lot of health issues, depression and fatigue on top of it all, was In August of last year. I became very interested in Crystal Healing. As I got a Rose Quartz as a gift at my friends wedding. So I went out and bought a really good reference book and started buying Crystals according to what my needs were, physically and mentally & started using them to get me through many different situations & for easing pain and for meditation. An other thing that came from this was I started researching different groups/communities that I could join to learn more because I was like a kid in a candy store, I was also going through Widgets that I found for My Space and I came across This and other incredible groups. That I was so excited I joined them all lol. And have made some incredible friendships as a result of the groups and I am learning new things about Crystals & there healing power. Plus many other things related to Crystals & Energy. I have also had the opportunity to try out Crystal healing on some family members and friends, also a distance healing for a friends Dad who lives in France & is going through Chemo. The most recent area of Crystals that I am looking into is Jewelery making. I want to be that good that I will be able to make and sell my own pieces eventually. Crystals have really expanded my world. I am also Joining a Rock and Gem Club in March to get more hands on knowledge & learn where to look for different Rocks & Crystals. And I have found that everyone I come across in my groups that I belong to, can not do enough to help and they genuinely care and want to help in what ever way possible. So I think this might be more than Three favorite pastimes. But they are all important and relevant to each other & I think that the Wand would help me with what I am already learning. Wow Sorry I think I wrote a novel lol. Thank You Lisa . Sincerely Joan aka Angelbear

I appreciate being able to learn about healing and the future from great books and the wonderful ning sites I have been invited to. This is how I spend most of my free time.
I enjoy giving and receiving Reiki and hope to be able to do that more and more. I am setting up my healing room today so that will soon be a reality.
I love walking in the sunshine on a clear summer day. It will be here before we know it. It's been a cold winter in Maine.
Wow! That's one beautiful wand. Gorgeous.

My 3 faves are

1. Photography - I adore it. Although I live in Thailand right now and have some amazing opportunities to take photos I am looking forward to moving back to the UK after 7 years to see what difference that the light (or lack of it ;)) makes in my photos, not to mention a whole plethora of new exciting subjects, snow, woohoo!

2. Self healing - I love healing others, but I wouldn't be forthcoming if I didn't talk about how much I love experiencing healing, especially when I can do it without someone else with me. I love to use crystals and reiki, and spend some time with my guides working on receiving as much light as possible, that way I can share with everyone else even more effectively!

3. Day dreaming - This is the one I can get caught up in for hours... I love love love to drift off into fantasy. Currently I love to wonder where we will live in England, in the town or country, what will our house be like, what does life have in store for us there, how will we get what we need. It's so exciting and so amazing to be free enough to create through fantasy! I am sure we will have lots to report back on a couple of months from now, but right at this moment I love drifting off!
I love crystals and I am naturally in tune with them. I am always looking for new and interesting ones to add to my collection. They are an everyday part of my life. I have clear quartz crystals in my car and on my computer. When my Baby Bull was alive, I hung a rutilated quartz from his collar. I use crystals for healing, cleansing an area, protection, energizing my water, burns, channeling, meditation and what ever else I discover. I experiment with them and I use different ones for different things. I especially love clear quartz and all the different configurations of them, especially the channelers and windows. I have a large smokey quartz pendant that has lots of inclusions on it. It called me and tingled in my hand when I picked it up so I know there is a lot of information that crystal wants to share with me when the time is right. I always have crystals somewhere on my person and around me. The crystals always let me know which ones I should carry or wear at any particular time, they actually call out to me and I can telepathically hear them.

I love tarot and the I Ching and I use them for spiritual development and growth; I teach tarot also. I always have crystals around when I am working with the tarot or I Ching. They help me to focus and to be more clear. They also add that protection too.

I love music and I sing. I have trained in college and with the Vocal Arts Foundation in NY. I was so connected with my trainer that I gave him one of my large Herkimer Diamonds. When ever I performed, I sometimes tried to have a Lapis on my neck to help energize my throat chakra and enhance my voice.

There is a lot more I like to do, but since I had to limit it to three... I would like to add that what ever else I do, you can believe crystals are somehow a part of it.
Hi Lisa,
Being a Mom and working full time tutoring elementary school children in reading, I don't have very much "ME" time but on Saturday mornings I take a few hours to spend with my "other Babies", my 2 Chinese Crested dogs. I love walking them thru the park which fortunately is close to my home. They are both a very big part of my life as well as my Family, and theres nothing like comming home at the end of the day and seeing their little faces waiting for me. Another past time I enjoy is my crystals. I've been collecting them for about a year now and they bring Great joy to my life. I'm learning the properties of each one and I find it truely Amazing! I am a True believer in Healing Energies. And last but not least I enjoy curling up with a good book especially if its a night when theres nothing on the television that interests me. I've always enjoyed reading even as a child.
First would be spending time with my "family" - five Boston Terriers, all with very different personalities....Oh, and a husband. :) A close second would be my constant "shopping" for crystals. It's a true addiction. I started with an attraction to spheres but have gradually expanded into all kinds and just recently purchased at 25-lb quartz cluster that's gorgeous. When I'm not shopping for them, I'm reading and learning from my HUGE hard-cover copy of Love is in the Earth (among others). There are times when I'm doing something totally un-crystal-related and will feel like there's a crystal screaming at me from somewhere. It's then my "duty" to find it! Third would have to be spending time in the woods - we live up on the Appalacian Trail and it's wonderful to walk the trail. I rarely see anyone up here - it's just me (or us) with the trees. Truly amazing.
WOW! Another opportunity for sharing and the possibility of adding another crystal wand sounds inviting. Having read the previous contributions and enjoying learning of fellow crystologist (I made up that word I think) I feel I have already received blessings. To satisfy the first criteria one only has to look at my profile for a picture. To answer the question of three favorite activities or past times or hobbies I will list them with a short description.

First, drag racing is a favorite hobby/past time taking up a lot of free time. But, being bipolar or manic-depressive, one of my learned coping skills for the depressive side is to see how many people I can cause to smile or laugh. I have discovered that is always uplifting for me, even though I may be on the low swing of the mood pendulum

Next, I carry a bunch of tumbled stones with me most days and a lot of them are tiger-eyes. I am a very good listener and many times co-workers join me and it ends with them chatting about their woes. That is where those tumbled stones come into play. Many times I give them one stone or another while telling them of what they represent. This presents the opportunity to encourage, which is a favorite past time. It is really cool when someone latter tells me how the challenge ended up and then they pull that stone out of their pocket or purse, show it to me, and then say thanks.

Also, I like to write, as you may see here. I journal often, write poetry, short stories, and at times blog too. At my desk is a porcelain platter with selected crystals of many different shapes and size. These are my guides when I write. Each represents an emotion, a portion of character, or something I may just not understand, but feel. I have posted some journal entries here, which speak more of my inner being.

Finally, thank you for this opportunity to visit and share your contributions and to share mine with this entry. I will visit more soon and read other blogs, delight with your pictures and ponder your different views with crystalology and spirituality.

Tim
Instead of me, the picture I have up is of one of my dogs who is like a child to me. My dogs are what I spend the most time on. I rescue, groom, and show bichons, a breed that has a very spiritual connection in my opinion. They are very smart and interact with people in a very human way and are a lot like cats in that they also seem to try and heal illness. Another of my activities is studying all aspects of metaphysics and the paranormal, especially crystal healing and counseling through the Tarot. I have discovered that my readings tend to pinpoint an issue in the client's life that can be addressed through the reading. I also try to assist souls trapped between worlds. I take classes and attend workshops and healing groups as often as possible. The third thing I like to do is spending time with family and friends. We never know how much time we have and these connections are very precious so I try to strengthen them every chance I get. I, too, collect crystals and keep them with me for various purposes and enjoy the opportunities I have had to use them for healing.
