Broken Crystal

Does it mean anything if a crystal falls and breaks? I have a black tourmaline which fell and broke into 2 and a clear quartz which has got a crack on falling from the window ledge.

Hello.........I believe that everything happens for a reason....syncronicity and so on. I had a large broken tumbled oval rose quartz. It broke while I was doing a love ceremony. To me this represents love lost/love that can be joined again, but more than likely a different love. I have also had "missing" stones that show up out of no where........this I believe means (when they are lost) that we may not have need of this stone at a particular time..........when found it can mean two things.........that we are in need of that stone right now or that someone else may be in need...........I also feel that stones/crystals are for us to hold for a certain time (most of them) and then to be "passed on" so to speak.

I completely agree with what Brenda said but I wanted to add to it. Another reason for crystals to break is because they have absorbed too much negative energy. That is why it is recommended that you should cleanse the crystals you use regularly. Even if they are just sitting around it is a good idea to do it about once a month or so.

I had an owner of a local crystal stop tell me a story about a friend of his. She used to wear a hematite ring but forgot to cleanse it regularly. One day she went to take a shower, reached to turn on the water and without even touching anything the ring shattered.

Thanks for your answers, Brenda & Katriana, definitely the same answers I would have given! Once a crystal HAS broken, you can still use it in jewelry, in crystal mandalas, layouts, chakra plates or bury it with your plants back in the earth!

Thanks so much all of you.......i shall bury the crystal!!! and keep in mind that i have to charge the cystals once a month....
