Hi Terry, thanks for your question. Petalite is found in small pieces and is valuable because of its rarity and size. However, when polished, they actually have to mix in a stabilizer like resin or other materials to make smooth and big. They do the same for Turquoise - natural pieces being smaller and more valuable than when they mix it up and make it smooth!

I have a pocket comfort crystal. It is palm size made of smooth green jade. I like jade for its healing / energy qualities- "Jade is emotionally calming, relieving your stress during hectic times. It is a dream stone, helping you to recall and learn from dreams. Jade stimulates your heart and heart chakras, giving you love energy and the ability to heal yourself. It attract wealth and abundance in any area of life you desire, and brings great luck!" (idigcrystals ebay store). Those in bold are for the main reasons, which are related to my bipolar disorder and my experience at a class at Ann Satin's home. When I was diagnosed in the class by a fellow learning crystalologist and then by Ann it was discovered my heart chakra had blockage. Ann opened it some with a healing wand, but not completely. I have not been able to return since, so I acquired this crystal for some assurance.

That was probably too much information. The question is sometimes when I reach into my pocket to retrieve it the temperature is very warm. It is at times in the range of "hot." Is there an explanation for this? Is it the strength of the stone working with those areas of my being requiring stengthing? I usually place it on a my large quartz crystal for recharging weekly too! There doesn't seem to be any real ryhme or pattern detectable to me as yet either. Just a question of curiousity. O yeah, it did develop a crack, yet has never been dropped too!

Thank you for you time with this!

Tim

OK , , ,I have built an American Indian Medicine wheel in backyard in the south side. It takes up about a 1/3 or more of space and is an 8ft circle. To the south of that are perrenial plants - five keeping with 5 being a power number with the medicine wheel. The south side of the wheel is generally speaking the direction of environmental or respect toward the earth. To the right or north of the wheel is the 2nd half of the yard. In the medicine wheel it represents good mental health and a reminder we should always try to stay healthy in our minds even when things happen that makes us sad or happy. The east, which points to where I am sitting now, represents spirituality. It reminds us of a belief in a creator and respecting all things. the opposite of me is the west is a reminder to keep our physical bodies healthy by looking after ourselves. This points to a very large rosemary bush. There is more information and there is alot to the medicine wheel on the web.

Any hoot the question is I would like to get some crystals to place in the areas ouside and maybe inside the wheel. Mostly the area to the north - the mental health area is of concern. This is since in my walk in life and the representation of the medicine wheel being my life's walk, and that I am bipolar. Now this north half of the yard I planted wildflowers and clover. It forms a U-shape with the outer being the wild flowers and inner clover. You stand on the walkway looking into an upside down U. Within this U at the crest of the radius I would like to place one or more spheres.

The question is do you have any recommendations for me? Most likely I will place a short yet wide tree stump at the crest too. So, I will hallow it out at the top large enough to hold the spheres or cyrstals. As far as that goes maybe a different geormetric form may be recommended. I also would like to scatter some tumbled crystals where the plants are sown to enhance growth with them. Any recommendations for this too???

And, don't forget Sheila, I will be working with you on some personal jewelry, hopefully soon too. I would like to thank you for your time with this. I am gon'na post a pic or two in my profile pic area for you to see.

Thanks Tim

Hi Sheila,
Lately I have been experiencing swollen ankles. I soak my feet once a week,
maybe I need more. Would crystals help with that? Any help is appreciated.
I always enjoy getting emails from you and Lisa.
Thank you,
Mary Jo

Dear Mary Jo, thank you so much for your email. Crystals will definitely help with your swollen ankles. You would essentially soak your feet in gem waters. I would recommend Apache Tear or Serpentine stones (or both) to reduce the swelling. Clean, Charge and Program the crystals with your intention. Soak them in the water for a few hours before soaking your feet in the water. Repeat this process as many times as necessary. Let us know how your progress!

Sincerely,
Sheila Satin
